Married at a church or a register office, celebrating with us
Say your vows where you have always wanted to say them, then bring everybody back to a Grade II* listed Tudor barn set in thirteen acres of moated parkland. The whole venue is yours for the day and the whole of the evening.
Getting married off site is not a problem
We price weddings one way, which is full day exclusive hire, and that does not change when your ceremony happens somewhere else. There is no half day rate, and there is a good reason for that.
Having the building exclusively from ten in the morning gives your suppliers ample time to setup, and it means your arrival time is decided by your ceremony rather than by us. If your service overruns, or the photographs at the church take longer than anybody expected, nothing here is waiting on you and nobody is being moved along.
You can book us two years ahead
Our wedding diary is open two years in advance. If your church or your register office cannot confirm your date as far ahead as you would like, you can still book your date with us now and let the ceremony follow once it is confirmed.
Couples do this all the time, and it is a great deal better than waiting and finding that the Saturday you had in mind has gone. The six month figure you may have been quoted belongs to our Celebration Package, which is a different booking altogether, and there is a comparison further down this page.
What your exclusive hire includes
• Exclusive use of the entire venue from 10am until midnight, including the front lawn, the side decking marquee and the moat terrace, which is open April to September
• Tables, Chiavari chairs, linen, crockery, cutlery, glassware, cake stand, knife and slice, vintage easels, flowers and fairy lights on the beams, a post box and uplighters
• A co-ordinator on the day, with full staffing and security throughout
• The gastropub downstairs, closed to the public and yours for the day, which is where your drinks reception moves if the weather turns
• Up to 180 guests for a sit down meal or 160 for a buffet, and up to 200 in the evening
Pricing
This is our full day exclusive hire pricing, and it is the same whether you marry here or somewhere else. Rather than a fixed package we set a venue hire fee together with a minimum food and drink spend for your daytime guests, which leaves you free to choose sit down menus, hot fork buffets, BBQs or hog roasts from our Food and Drinks Guide.

All of our prices are inclusive of VAT and we do not add a service charge to your contract. December and New Year’s Eve have their own festive packages.

Common questions
We are getting married in a church or a register office. Do you offer half day hire?
No, our pricing is full day exclusive hire only, and having your ceremony off site is absolutely no problem. Taking the venue exclusively gives your suppliers a much longer set up and gives you flexibility with your arrival time.
How far in advance can we book?
Up to two years, and that applies whether you are marrying here or somewhere else.
Our church has not confirmed our date yet. Can we still book with you?
Yes. Take your date with us and confirm the ceremony afterwards. We would far rather hold the date for you than have you lose it while you wait.
What time will our guests arrive?
Whenever your ceremony releases them. The building has been yours since ten in the morning, so there is no arrival slot to hit and we will have the drinks poured for the moment they come through the door.
Can we get married here instead?
You can. We are licensed for civil ceremonies in the Tudor Gallery at no extra charge, and for outdoor ceremonies on the front lawn or side deck between April and September at £800. Greenwich registrar fees and the statutory notice are arranged separately by you.
